SleepSmart aims to increase knowledge about healthy sleep and sleep disorders for company employees, health organizations and the general public. A number of programs on sleep health are available, or customised programs can be developed. Our programs cover the impact of poor sleep on productivity, increased traffic accidents, quality of life, weight gain and numerous medical disorders, and provide information on improving sleep quality, and common sleep disorders.
Poor quality sleep, sleep duration and/or sleep disorders can have a negative impact on quality of life, productivity, and longevity. Research has shown an association between poor quality sleep and weight gain, heart disease, diabetes and depression. There are also studies demonstrating ties between sleep problems and productivity and accidents in the workplace, as well as increased traffic accidents.
